In fact, on the night of his daughter’s fatal accident, he was in another part of town working a DUI checkpoint. That is when he got the call about is daughter. Although he still wants to get back to working the checkpoints for the DUI unit, so far it has been too difficult for him to return because of the loss of his daughter.
This father, as well as his daughter’s husband and young child, has lost a loved one because another man allegedly chose to drive while under the influence.
